Andros lighthouse art print

Here is my illustration of the lighthouse Tourlitis in Andros island named ο φάρος Τουρλίτης in Greek (you can read more about it in the "about the illustration" below).

The dimensions of this print are 21 cm x 29.5 cm. 

All my reproductions are printed by giclée on the highest quality Hahnemühle paper (William Turner 310 gsm) in 100% white cotton. The paper is free from optical brighteners and is characterized by its unique feel and texture. Printed with no harmful chemicals.

Each print is packaged with silk paper, supported by carton for protection and shipped to you in a protective envelope. I can also use cardboard tubes depending on the size of the artwork.

All the prints are signed at the back with my name Marina Nicolaïdis and date. If you wish I can also write a personal dedication on a seperated card. You can tell me the text by message!

ABOUT THE ILLUSTRATION :

The Tourlitis is a very picturesque lighthouse in the port of Chora in Andros island (Cyclades islands). It is the only lighthouse in Europe that stands on a rock in the sea (Aegean sea) ! The lighthouse as a metallic structure was constructed in 1887 but was first operated the 1st of January 1897. It was destroyed during the 2nd world war in 1943 by German bombardments. Its reconstruction was commissioned by A. and M. Goulandris family (in memory of their Daughter) and eventually starts to illuminate the route of the seamen’s ships in 1994.The Tourlitis was the first automatic lighthouse in Greece. So it has no onsite keeper in it!  Its height is 7m, its focal height of 36m and the luminescence of 11 nautical miles. In 2009, a postal stamp of the Tourlitis was created (among others Greek lighthouses).
